We appreciate our miners

“I’m proud to be a miner, I’m proud of this team, and I’m grateful for the contributions of so many who make it possible for us to do what we do,” said Karen Swager, Vice President, Minerals, fourth from right.

On Dec. 6, 2018, Mosaic celebrated National Miners Day, a day designated by Congress to honor the contributions and sacrifices of miners both past and present. At Mosaic, the crop nutrients we mine helps farmers feed families around the world. And with the global population expected to grow to 9.7 billion by 2050, our role will continue to be a crucial one.

“I’m proud to be a miner, I’m proud of this team, and I’m grateful for the contributions of so many who make it possible for us to do what we do,” said Karen Swager, Mosaic Vice President, Minerals.

In our Phosphates Business, more than 1,000 men and women work at our mine facilities or with mine services. And there are many others who help make it possible for us to mine. Our employees play crucial roles in making sure we’re able, prepared and ready to safely and efficiently mine rock and be good stewards of our resources.
