Mosaic and Local Leaders Meet to Discuss Ending Local Hunger

Uniting community leaders and organizations throughout Central Florida in the fight against hunger was the goal of today’s Hunger-Relief Forum, hosted by the Mosaic Company. The event, which was held at the Florida State Fairgrounds in Tampa, was developed to raise awareness about this critical issue and spark regional conversation about food security and the valuable roles various community organizations, companies, educators and industries can play in providing solutions.

Featuring a live panel discussion about how best to meet the challenges facing the local food supply, the program also showcased the work of National Geographic photographer and keynote speaker, John Stanmeyer, who shared his insights as well as a series of revealing photos he captured while documenting the global food crisis for the magazine.

At the event, Mosaic recognized 12 local nonprofit organizations that are supporting hunger relief in Central Florida by granting each a $10,000 donation.
